BBNaija Ex-housemate, Khafi Kareem Says She Was A Rape Victim

BBNaija Former housemate, Khafi Kareem, has revealed that she was raped, while also explaining why she didn’t report her rapist. The 31 year old took to twitter to share her ordeal, she said "the person that raped her is someone she usually confides in and she kept it a secret because the rapist begged her not to tell anyone".

Khafi made this known as she joined the Twitter conversation about rape and sexual violence against women, on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

Khafi added that she decided to share her story to give hope to other victims to speak up about their own experiences.  According to her, the reason she didn’t report the rapist was because the one person she told about the incident, ended up blaming her for getting raped.

This is coming after lots of Nigerians decided to speak out and fight rape on social media. Khafi who would be getting married to her fiance, Gedoni in few months time decided to summon courage and speak out.
