Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said socialite, Ramoni Igbalode better known as Hushpuppi who was recently arrested in Dubai is ‘Nigeria’s most-wanted hacker.’

Spokesman of EFCC, Dele Oyewale stated this in a statement on Thursday, June 18. Hushpuppi was arrested on June 10 in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in connection with $35m ventilator scam.

EFCC revealed that it is working closely with US’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to trace Hushpuppi’s alleged fraud victims, fraudulent transactions and other alleged conspirators who might have direct involvement with him. The commission further stated that many Internet frauds in the country have been traced to the flamboyant Instagram celebrity.

The Commission is engaging with the FBI in tracing victims of his fraudulent transactions and other fraudsters having direct involvement with him. Local cyber criminals with money laundering networks with him, are also being investigate
