Queen Mother, Abibat Ninhinlola Adeyemi, the first wife of the Alaafin of Oyo HIM Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, looks beautiful at 77.
She was given a surprise birthday by the younger Queens for her 77th birthday.
Iya Adodo, as she is fondly called, is not just a wife but the pillar behind Alaafin Adeyemi as they have been married for over 60 years now. The Queen Mother as the first wife has many traditional roles she plays in the palace and has been described by many as a woman with a large heart and quality characters. She is loving, warm and accommodating. So enormous are her responsibilities that she is said to have encouraged Alaafin to marry another wife, and today Alaafin has over 10 wives.
Queen Mother and Alaafin of Oyo has five children together, three girls and two boys. All of the children are grown and highly successful. They are also blessed with many grandchildren.
