This is after three years of their marriage and the birth of their two-year-old daughter, Kulture.
Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has been hit by several crises. The American rapper had previously announced her decision to divorce her husband in 2017 over cheating allegations.
Offset made a public apology at one of her biggest festival performances at Rolling Loud after which the pair reconciled but are now battling more marital issues.
Fulton County superior court confirmed that the divorce petition has been filed in Superior Court, Fulton County, Georgia by Belcalis Almanzar (Cardi B’s real name) v. Kiari Cephus (Offset’s given name).
In the divorce filing, Cardi initially requested for legal custody and primary physical custody of their daughter. She is now planning to amend her divorce filings after her lawyer who filed the petition, ‘went a bit far’.
According to TMZ, Cardi wants to share custody of Kulture with Offset because she wants to have an amicable co-parenting situation, and is already in touch with her lawyer to have the document amended to reflect her wishes.
It is also reported that Cardi B does not want any support from Offset, as opposed to child support requested in her divorce petition.
