
Nigerian youths have gathered outside the Lagos State House of Assembly today, October 9, to protest SARS brutality.
The protesters, called for the end of Special Anti-Robbery Squad by the government.
This is happening after protesters camped out last night, October 8, at the Lagos House of Assembly for the End Sars campaign.
This morning, protesters at the venue took a knee and raised their fists in the air as they sang the National Anthem, while seeking address.
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a department of the Nigerian police force are popularly known for harassing and extorting money from citizens especially youths, while accusing them of fraud.

Comedian Mr Macaroni joined all night protest at the Lagos State Government House in Alausa, against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Addressing Lagos Assembly speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, Macaroni said that the government works for the people and if the people want a job done, the government must do it without delay.
Tweeting on Thursday night, Mr Macaroni said:
“Just heard that another youth got shot in Delta. We are not leaving Alausa tonight!! We are sleeping in front of the Government House. Someone must take responsibility! #AlutaContinua #EndSars.”
The comedian and protesters did not back down after their tent were allegedly seized by ode of the Lagos state commander.
At 4am on Friday, he also tweeted: “Are you there??? It’s 4:00am!!! We are still here! We deserve better!!! #EndSARS #ALutaContinua.”
The protesters want the government to end Sars and police brutality which has led to the killings of many Nigerian youth.
