Human rights activist and Senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN(, Femi Falana has been petitioned against by an organisation Make Nigeria Better Initiative (MNBI) to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his participation in the recent #EndSARS protest.

Femi Falana has now been dragged to the International Criminal Court (ICC), in a petition filed by Joseph Nwaegbu, Esq. a Senior Associate of Pathfind Attorneys on behalf of Make Nigeria Better Initiative (MNBI) on the 3rd of November 2020.

The petition was ddressed to the Office of Madame Fatou Bensouda, the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court (ICC).

Femi Falana was accused of allegedly instigating the #EndSARS crisis that led to the deaths of many Nigerians. He was also accused of maintaining an antagonistic posture against Nigeria’s security forces, especially the military ever since the country returned to democracy, 

The petition is coming after the Femi Falana announced that he and other lawyers are compiling evidence to ensure the trial of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai before the ICC.
