In the midst of death rumors, legendary Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs makes a public appearance at the AFRIFF Globe Awards 2021.
The news of the renowned actor’s death made the rounds on the internet last month. Joke Silva, however, insisted her husband was fine in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH. The legendary actor won the Life Time Achievement Award for his contribution to the Nigerian film industry at the AFRIFF Globe Awards 2021.
Jacobs was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Joke Silva, who congratulated her husband on her verified Instagram account. “Lifetime achievement award recipient, Mr Olu Jacobs @ olujacobs, curtesy @afriff,” Silva captioned a photo of her husband with his prize.
More importantly, legendary actor Richard Mofe-Damijo congratulated his senior colleague, whom he affectionately refers to as Uncle J, on his verified Instagram account. “It’s my good fortune to be able to refer to you and my baby sister @ajokesilva as family.” Thank you for always being so kind to me.
My knees are on the ground for you, as my people say. It’s all right with you!”
