Shehu Sani Reacts To The Method That Buhari Used To Handover The Government To VP, Osinbajo

President Buhari recently traveled to the United Kingdom for his routine medical checkup, which is expected to last for a few weeks.


When the President is not in office, the affairs of the country automatically fall to his vice, which is expected to be communicated in writing to the National Assembly.

However, when President Buhari was traveling, he handed over the leadership of the country to his vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, without any information as to whether there was a written letter to such effect to the National Assembly or not.

Shehu Sani, former senator representing Kaduna Central, had faulted this method which the president used in handing over the government to Prof. Yemi Osinbajo by noting that President Buhari could have written a letter to the National Assembly and not just used a verbal means to handover the affairs of the country.




This is not the first time President Buhari will travel to the United Kingdom for medical treatment, and Prof. Osibanjo has always presided over the country until President Buhari returns.
